FAQ

BOTOX

What is your price for Botox?

Treatment costs depend on your individual needs and expectations. At your complimentary consultation, your treatment specialist will review your treatment plan and associated costs. We also offer special pricing for our TwistUp members.

Who performs the Botox injections?

Our highly trained medical providers performs all the injections in the center.

How does Botox work?

Botox is a neuromuscular inhibitor meaning it has the ability to relax your facial muscles thus smoothing out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. We typically treat between the brows, forehead and around the eyes.

How long can the results last?

Treatment results last an average of 3-4 months but certainly some clients have longer lasting results. Our clients typically have three to four Botox treatments annually to keep their wrinkles away.

How long is the appointment?

Botox injections take an average of 15-20 minutes.

Does it hurt?

We have the most highly trained and experienced injectors at our center to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Botox injections may have a slight sting or prick feeling.

What is the downtime?

There is no downtime. You can experience slight tenderness, swelling or bruising at the injection site which typically subside within hours to days after the treatment.

FILLER

What are fillers?

Dermal Fillers instantly smooth out moderate to severe lines along the sides of your nose and mouth as well as correct volume loss in the cheeks with a lifting effect, results are natural looking and last up to two years depending upon the type of filler and placement area.

How long do fillers last?

Up to two years with optimal correction. There is evidence that hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvéderm and Voluma actually help to stimulate the production of new collagen by your own body so that longer duration of improvement may be seen. Also depending on various factors of your health, weight and body chemistry as well as the volume injected and the skill of the injector duration of correction may be shorter (or even longer) than two years.

Does it hurt?

There is typically minimal discomfort during the treatment process. Topical numbing cream may be applied before treatment to reduce discomfort – especially for sensitive areas such as fine lines around the mouth or in the lips.

What are the side effects?

Typically you might experience temporary bruising, tenderness, swelling, discomfort during injection or some redness or itching. Lumps and bumps are possible but usually are easily massaged out either at the time of treatment or a few days later.

When will I see results?

After your Filler Treatment, you may see an instant filling and lifting effect, but the ultimate results will take place over 1-2 weeks.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients only need one treatment. However, based on the degree of wrinkles, skin laxity and volume loss clients may benefit from additional treatments. Because skin continues to age, additional treatments can help clients keep pace with the body’s natural aging process.

What is the cost?

Pricing is based up on the choice of filler. Typically syringes start at $500 and go up from there depending up on the correction desired.

HYDRAFACIAL

What is a HydraFacial?

The HydraFacial treatment is a breakthrough in aesthetic technology. It takes its name from the root word Hydrate; “to cause to take up moisture”. This ability to moisturize the skin separates the HydraFacial from all other skin resurfacing procedures. The HydraFacial treatment removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while simultaneously bathing the new skin with specialty treatment and hydrating serums — totally customized for your skin concerns! The treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating and immediately effective.

Why is HydraFacial good for my skin?

Hydration is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin. Irritation of the skin has been proven to increase signs of aging. The HydraFacial is a hydrating and non-irritating treatment that will leave your skin radiant, glowing and nourished.

Am I a candidate for this treatment?

The HydraFacial treatment is designed for all skin types. Even the most sensitive skin benefits from the HydraFacial treatment. Your technician may choose specific treatment serums and/or customize the treatment for your unique skin conditions and needs.

How long does the treatment take? Is there any downtime or pain involved?

The HydraFacial treatment is a fast, efficient treatment that takes approximately an hour out of your busy schedule. The treatment is often described as a feeling like a cool paintbrush moving over the face. You may put on make-up and return to your normal activities right after the treatment since there is no downtime.

What is the difference between a HydraFacial and Microdermabrasion treatment?

Microdermabrasion is a single step exfoliation process that works by abrading the top layer of skin and “vacuuming” the exfoliate away to reveal the new, fresh skin below. HydraFacial is the evolution of a microdermabrasion — a multi-step process that provides cleansing and exfoliation, a gentle peel to loosen dirt and debris from pores, extraction via vortex suction to clean out pores, and hydration of anti-oxidants and hydraluronic acid via patented vortex-fusion to nourish and protect your skin. Through the use of various tips and solutions, each step of the HydraFacial is customized to suit your skin type and concern – oily or dry skin, sensitive skin, fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, your HydraFacial can be customized to include lymphatic draining and/or red or blue LED therapy. A HydraFacial is a microdermabrasion treatment and so much more!

What results may be expected? How many treatments are needed to see results, and how long do results last?

Many people report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. One treatment per month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, blackheads and whiteheads, acneic and oily or congested skin. Continued HydraFacial treatments are highly recommended to maintain results.

What areas other than the face can be treated with HydraFacial?

HydraFacial treatments can benefit the face & neck, decollete, hands and arms. Many men and sports enthusiasts also appreciate the HydraFacial for congestion and/or acne on the back — “Back-ne”.

What are the benefits of LED (red or blue light) treatments?

Light therapy is the application of light energy to the skin for therapeutic benefits. It is a natural photo-biochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis. Over the past 40 years, research has shown that light in the red and infrared spectrum effects at least 24 positive changes at a cellular level. The energy delivered by the LEDs enhances cellular metabolism, accelerates the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, and stimulates the production of collagen. As a result, skin texture, skin tone, and elastin may be improved with a series of treatments. Blue light therapy helps improve the appearance of oily or congested skin and can be used to treat moderate inflammatory acne. P.acnes is known as the causative agent of acne. Porphryin, a compound generated by the P.acnes bacteria, is photo-sensetive and reacts to blue light. Blue LED therapy is an alternative for clients who do not respond well to other acne therapies.

LED therapy can be performed as an individual treatment, or in combination with your HydraFacial.

What are the benefits of Lymphatic Draining?

Natural regulation of the body can occur with lymphatic drainage to improve circulation, detoxification, tone, and result in firmer skin. 33% of the lymphatic system is in the face. Gentle lymphatic massage can stimulate opening of the lymphatic system, increase lymph flow, and assist in the drainage of stagnant cellular fluid and released toxins. Through the elimination of toxins, and promotion of insured nourishment, the skin achieves balance, resulting in a cleaner complexion and improved skin tone and colour. Other benefits of lymphatic drainage include a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles due to dehydration, and a reduction of puffy skin (edema) and swelling. When the lymph is flowing, the cells are bathed in fresh fluid causing the skin to look fresh and alive. Lymphatic drainage can be performed as an individual treatment, or in combination with your HydraFacial.

PHOTOFACIAL (BBL/IPL)

What is IPL?

Intense pulsed light therapy, also known as photo facial, uses cutting edge technology to produce younger looking skin that’s firmer, and more even in tone and texture. IPL offers a safe, FDA-cleared option for sun damage, anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. It targets:

1. Pigmented Lesions (e.g., freckles, age spots)

2. Vascular Lesions (e.g., small blood vessels)

3. Skin Firmness

4. Uneven Skin Texture

How does IPL work?

The light energy delivered by the IPL will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colors and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking. In addition, the photothermal energy will eliminate fine vessels that cause redness and reduce unwanted melanin that produces pigmented lesions.

What areas can be treated?

Any area of your body can be treated. Due to being most often exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight, the most popular treatments are on the face, neck, back of the hands, chest and shoulders.

What does IPL feel like?

The treatment is gentle, noninvasive, and safe. While everyone’s tolerance is different, there is usually no need for a topical anesthetic. Should you feel discomfort during your procedure, let your treatment provider know as they will be able to provide you with a topical numbing cream.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments needed will vary from guest to guest and your treatment provider will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Typically, a series of three-six is common.

What can I expect after?

Immediately following treatment, you can expect to see mild redness, and it may feel like a slight sunburn in the treated area. This should dissipate after a few hours but in some cases could last a day or two. You can start to see healthier looking skin just several days after treatment. Sun spots, age spots and or broken blood vessels, should begin to clear up in one to two weeks

MICRONEEDLING

What is Microneedling?

The device slides along the skin and penetrates upper layers of the skin to a depth of up to 2mm to create tiny needle wounds. This signals the body to respond by producing collagen and elastin fibers. As a result, the skin becomes fuller, thus reducing the appearance of scars, lines, and wrinkles.

What does it feel like?

With a numbed face, the treatment feels like little more than light pressure to the face, with occasional, light sparking feeling.

Does it hurt?

Numbing cream is applied 30 to 45 minutes prior to the treatment to ensure a comfortable patient experience throughout the treatment. Many testimonials from patients say they found the treatment to be in a range of comfortable to virtually pain-free.

What is PRP?

PRP is created from a person’s own blood, and is a concentrated blend of plasma cells and specific growth factors. When injected into tissue, it bathes the cells to naturally stimulate the healing process.

What is my recovery time?

Inflammation of the skin is very temporary and reduces greatly within a few hours. It may remain slightly pink for up to 48 hours after treatment. Using hyaluronic acid after the procedure can help reduce inflammation, and sunscreen can be used to protect the skin. Makeup use should be limited to mineral makeup.

How many treatments do I need?

Each client’s skin condition determines the number of treatments that are needed. Moderate acne scars may need between three and four treatments, while thermal burns and stretch marks may need five.? Conditions such as wrinkles caused by aging, one or two refresher treatments are recommended per year.

Microneedling can be safely repeated every four to six weeks as needed. Collagen induction requires at least three treatments, while scar reduction requires between three and six. Four to six weeks should pass between one treatment and the next.

How long does it take?

The actual treatment takes about 45 minutes, with an additional 30 to 45 minutes needed prior for numbing.

What kind of skin does it work on?

Medical microneedling is safe to use on all skin types and colors without risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.

The Clear + Brilliant Perméa handpiece treatment is optimized for improved skin tone and texture and enhanced skin permeability for added benefits of topical skincare products when applied immediately after treatment.

How does it work?

Clear + Brilliant works by creating millions of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of the skin, which replaces damaged skin with healthy tissue and yields younger looking skin.

Clear + Brilliant treatments take about 40 minutes or less. However, total appointment time will vary.

How many treatments do I need?
